The Power of Small Beginnings Sometimes we think God only works in big, dramatic moments. We imagine breakthroughs happening with loud trumpets, instant miracles, or overnight success. But the Bible reminds us that God often starts with the small. Zechariah 4:10 says, “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” That means your step forward today—no matter how small—matters deeply to God. Whether it’s opening your Bible before checking your phone, offering a kind word to a neighbor, or choosing faith over fear, every small act plants a seed.
Three Lessons from Small Beginnings
1. God Sees Your Effort What feels small to you is celebrated in Heaven. Your faithfulness is never wasted.
2. Seeds Grow in Time A seed doesn’t become a tree overnight. Trust God’s timing as He multiplies the little you have.
3. Obedience Opens Doors Sometimes the small “yes” you give today is the very thing that sets up tomorrow’s breakthrough. Big blessings are often wrapped in small beginnings. Don’t wait for the perfect moment—trust God with the little you have right now, and watch how He turns it into something far greater than you imagined
