In Loving Memory Of James Edward Davis

James embraced the Lord Jesus as his savior during his childhood. He was raised in Brookshire, Texas, and graduated from Ralph J. Bunche. In his free time, he enjoyed travelling and creating many memories.

​James answered His Heavenly Father's Call on September 12, 2025, to begin his eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Jackson; his sibling Donna Jackson; his daughter Aretha Porter and his grandson, Raphael Davis.

​James leaves behind cherished memories to his mother Carrie Bell Davis(Burton); sisters, Marie Ayers(Herbert), Marilyn Vaughn, Debra Brandyburg, and Martha Campbell; brothers, Robert Davis (Francies), Hildred Vaughn (Andrea), John Jackson (Quiana), Herman Brandyburg and Kirk Brandyburg,

James leaves a beautiful legacy of children: Kimberly Davis,James Davis (JD), Mia Horstman, James DavisJr,(Y'Mica) Erroll Dean Davis(Terra), Robert Davis (Asia), Kimmy Davis(Abraham) , Mesha Davis Booker(Timothy),  Kesha Davis & Shaakira Jeter. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and close friends.
