Celebrating a Life of Love and Laughter: A Tribute to My Father at 81

On March 7, 2026, we gathered to celebrate the life of our beloved daddy. The event came just two days after what would have been his 81st birthday. It was a day filled with warmth, joy, and memories that reminded us all how deeply he was loved. Family members from near and far came together, sharing stories, laughter, and a meal prepared with care. Though we missed some traditions, like playing dominos, the spirit of togetherness made the day unforgettable.

Gathering of Family and Friends

The celebration brought together several of my dad’s siblings and children. Seeing so many generations in one room was a powerful reminder of the legacy he left behind. Each person carried a piece of his story, and sharing those stories created a tapestry of memories that honored his life.

After the meal, one of my brothers, who is a preacher, offered a closing prayer. His words were heartfelt and fitting, expressing gratitude for the time we had with our father and asking for blessings on everyone present and those who wished they could be there.
